Fence work in Chicago

Most Chicago fence work happens in tight quarters. City lots are narrow, the gangway between buildings is often the only route to the back, and the garage opens onto an alley instead of a driveway. That shapes every decision: panel runs measured to the space that actually exists, gates sized so a car clears the apron and still makes the turn, and posts anchored to base plates where there is concrete instead of soil.

It also means neighbors on both sides, close enough to see the fence every day. We build with both faces in mind and keep the top line straight down the run. The City of Chicago sets its own fence rules, and the height and placement allowed in a front yard are not the same as in a rear yard — confirm what applies to your address with the Department of Buildings before material gets ordered.

Whatever the yard asks for, the estimate is free: we come out, measure, talk through the material, and leave you with a written price.
