Fence Installation in Palos Heights, IL

Wooded lots, mature trees and ground that actually moves — one of the few places around here where a fence line has to follow a slope.

Fence work in Palos Heights

A fence on grade gets built one of two ways. It can be racked, so the panels follow the ground and the top line runs parallel to the slope, or stepped, so each panel stays level and the fence climbs in increments with a gap under the low corner. Which one looks right depends on the yard, the material and how steep the fall is, and it is worth deciding on site rather than on paper.

Trees are the other factor. Roots decide where a post can actually go, and we would rather shift a post a foot and adjust the panel than cut through a root holding up a hundred-year-old oak. The same terrain is why so much hardscaping out here is about getting water to run somewhere useful.

Whatever the yard asks for, the estimate is free: we come out, measure, talk through the material, and leave you with a written price.
